Access theAbout the roleThe candidate will also have to clinically manage the provision, development, and maintenance of an effective, efficient and equitable service to ensure appropriate patient care. This includes outpatients, inpatients, elective and emergency General Surgery. In addition, provide professional leadership within the specialty area and provide training, education and supervision to junior medical staff and other health care members.This role may be eligible for the Queensland Health Attraction Incentive. • Demonstrated ability to review, analyse and evaluate patient care for the identification of appropriate treatment and investigations.
• Interest and experience in teaching trainees and students.
• Interest and experience in research.
• Demonstrated ability to actively participate in a working environment supporting quality human resource management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, occupational health and safety, and ethical behaviour
• Provides patient care by demonstrating qualities of maturity, empathy and time management as well as communicating soundly with patients and family.

• Demonstrate a commitment to continuing professional development by attending relevant seminars and conferences to maintain up to date knowledge and practices and to maintain up to date college mandated requirements.

• Demonstrates a willingness to work as part of a multidisciplinary team by respecting team members, communicating openly and taking an interest in helping team members.

• Ability to practice medicine in a cross-cultural environment.
