About the role
You will be committed to providing high quality, compassionate medical care while effectively collaborating with fellow colleagues to provide the best possible services that engenders high levels of patient satisfaction and experience. You will be responsible for:
- Consultative, Diagnostic Radiology specialty services as determined and required by HNELHD.
- Undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
- Participation in quality improvement activities, professional development and continuing education.
Hunter New England Imaging comprises of the Divisions of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine which together provide a complete range of training modalities including General Radiology, Fluoroscopy, Tomography, Angiography, Interventional Procedures, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine and PET.
The ideal candidate will have:
A primary medical degree registrable with AHPRA and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists, and/or overseas trained specialist pathways.
Evidence of being a medical expert, demonstrated by recent and comprehensive experience in Radiology. Subspecialty fellowship or experience would be an advantage.

Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.

- Evidence of being a collaborator, including the ability to network and operate within an interdisciplinary framework and to work with other stakeholders in a variety of settings.
- Evidence of being a manager, including ability to be flexible and cope with a changing health system, past leadership and management experience and previous safety and quality improvement activities.
- Evidence of being a professional, including continued professional development, peer review and other forms of clinical governance.
- Evidence of being an advocate, including contributions to improving individual and societal health.
