In this role, you will provide expert care and contribute to the development and delivery of training programs for the junior medical staff. A 357 bed service Coffs Harbour Health Campus is the major referral centre for residents of Coffs Harbour, Bellingen, and Nambucca Valley local government areas.Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specified Infectious DiseasesIf you are applying for a Category A position, under the NSW Health Policy Directive , evidence of current immunity status that complies with the policy must be supplied.COVID-19 Vaccination CompliancyAll NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course (2 doses) of a Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccine (except for the Janssen COVID-19 vaccine which is approved by the TGA as a single dose primary course). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health or provide an Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW. A NSW Health agency may require further information about the medical contraindication (including but not limited to an Immunisation Medical Exemption form – IM011 form)Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.Salary will be accordance with NSW Health State Awards for the advertised classification/s. These awards are available at http://www.health.nsw.gov.au/careers/conditions/pages/default.aspx.Selection Critieria * Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist General Paediatrician, and/or overseas trained specialist pathways.
- Demonstrated recent clinical experience in General Paediatrics at the role delineation of the service.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team.
- Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement.
- Accredited to Supervise Paediatric Advance Trainees in Rural/Regional and Community Paediatrics by FRACP or willing to obtain accreditation.
- Demonstrated expertise in General Paediatrics, Neonatology and Community Paediatrics and APLS (Acute Paediatric Life Support) certified.
