As an integral contributor within our organisation, you will take a leading role in propelling business growth through inventive sales strategies and developing robust industry relationships.
THE ROLE
We are looking for a dynamic individual with proven leadership skills to lead our Queensland based team, and in conjunction with the Melbourne based head-office, develop strategies to grow the business in Queensland. As the head of the branch, you will have extensive Management and Sales experience and lead our Queensland team to attract new business and foster relationships with current customers and be responsible in guiding our operations team. You will need to be strategic, creative and analytical in your role as a leader and a team player.
Key responsibilities will include and are not limited to:
- Leadership: Provide strong leadership to the regional team, fostering a culture of high performance and teamwork.
- Strategy Development and Execution: Develop and execute a comprehensive regional strategy aligned with the overall business objectives.
- Financial Management: Take full ownership of the regional Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibilities, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded.
- Safety and Quality Assurance: Prioritize and enforce safety protocols and quality standards across all regional operations to ensure compliance with regulations and customer expectations.
- Sales and Margin Optimization: Drive sales growth and maximize profit margins through effective pricing strategies, customer relationship management, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Lead tenders, collaborating with pricing, finance, senior management and sales teams to ensure competitive pricing and high-quality service offering.
- Operational Efficiency: Streamline regional operations to optimize output and efficiency, identifying areas for improvement and implementing process enhancements as needed.
- Employee Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, internally and externally.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks that may impact regional operations or the overall business.
- Communication: Effectively communicate the regional strategy, goals, and performance updates to senior leadership, employees, and stakeholders.
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
- Extensive Sales Experience and Management in the Building Industry is essential.
- Demonstrated experience in sales and business development.
- Tertiary qualifications in business management and/or development would be preferable.
- Proven strategic development, planning, execution and ability to attain targets through sales initiatives.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to lead a team of unique and diverse people with distinct personalities, motivations and skills.
- Ability to self-manage, prioritise your goals and accomplish your objectives.
