Aged and Community Care Providers Association (ACCPA) is the national Industry Association for aged care providers offering retirement living, seniors housing, residential care, home care, community care, and related services. ACCPA exists to unite aged care providers under a shared vision to enhance the well-being of older Australians through a high-performing, trusted, and sustainable aged care sector.About the Role
As the State Manager, you will form part of the Senior Leadership Team and will be responsible for the state’s member attraction, engagement, and retention activities. You will leverage and nurture relationships with key stakeholders i.e. members, industry-related organisations, and governments, and play a key role in uniting members in a comprehensive vision.The State Manager will drive state-based policy and advocacy initiatives. As such, this role actively contributes to the organisation's overall strategic direction and performance.About You
You will be an experienced member-centric leader with previous experience in roles within a highly compliant industry. You'll excel in written and verbal communication and engaging with stakeholders. As a team player, you'll bring optimism and collaboration to the table. You'll also have the expertise to simplify complex policy and advocacy matters into clear messages for members.Experience within a NFP, member, health or community organisation is desirable but not essential.Duties include but are not limited to:
- Support the implementation of the membership strategy in SA.
- Proactively identify industry issues/opportunities and member needs.
- Engage, influence and advocate with/to State Government and regulatory bodies.
- Drive state-based policy and advocacy initiatives.
- Market and promote the organisation's services, events, and training to members.
- Facilitate and represent the organisation at industry events and initiatives.
- Manage and provide secretariat support for member/council meetings.
- Travel and connect with members and key stakeholders.
- Conduct research, reporting and analysis of member insights.
- Manage a dedicated Member Relations Officer.
- Understanding of government structure and processes.
- Demonstrated experience and achievement in senior leadership or management roles.
- Strong reporting and analytical skills, with the ability to communicate complex matters.
- Exemplary communication and relationship management skills and experience.
- Professionalism and confidence in leading and facilitating events.
