A leading provider of security services, our client is committed to excellence in every aspect of their operations. They are seeking a dynamic and experienced State Manager to oversee their Security divisions in Victoria and Tasmania.
Reporting to the Head of Business you will play a pivotal role in leading the state operations, with responsibility for the total operations and performance of the Group's services, implementing Company strategy, overseeing and professionally managing key areas such as business development, contract compliance, financial performance, and client relationships.
In this dynamic role your responsibilities would include:
- Developing the State market and segment growth strategy.
- With responsibility to ensure that the company meets the objective of improving Sales and Marketing capabilities in the State market and using those capabilities and processes to improve business growth and profitability by working collaboratively to analyse, discover and implement efficiency and effectiveness improvement opportunities for the company and its customers.
- Managing financial performance and profitability of the state operations.
- Leading and mentoring a team of Account Managers to optimise service delivery and profitability.
- Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and overseeing the successful delivery of services to clients.
- Driving business development initiatives to expand the client base and identify new revenue opportunities.
- Fostering positive relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
- Championing safety, quality, and compliance initiatives across all sites.
To be successful in your application we are looking for:
- A high-calibre, high-potential person with a sales and marketing background with General Management experience in multi-site customer focused, sales and service organisation.
- Proven experience in operational, revenue/cost management and people management within the service based B2B sector.
- Strong P&L management experience with P&L analytical skills and sound business judgment
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to coach, train and influence other people
- Well-developed problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
- A relevant State Security Licence and tertiary qualifications in a related field.
- The ability to drive change, innovate, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant State Security License
- Relevant tertiary qualification preferably in a commercial stream (e.g. Facilities management, marketing, financial/accounting, business unit, engineering, marketing) and can demonstrate an ongoing commitment to learning and personal development.
- Ideally also possess post graduate qualifications in business management or demonstrated competence in senior general management.
