Job description

We are currently seeking to appoint a full time State Pathway and W/BBL Physiotherapist to provide physiotherapy services for the Cricket Victoria Female and Male State Pathway Programs, Second XI programs and W/BBL. This is a fixed term contract to cover Parental Leave until July 2025Key Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate and implement physiotherapy services for state HP pathway programs, EPP squads (including 2nd XI) and W/BBL
  • Attendance at all relevant trial matches and training sessions
  • Provision of regular reporting, detailing player injury/wellness status
  • Screening assessments for all HP Pathway and EPP squads in line with ACPP guidelines
  • Coordinate physiotherapy services for regional based players and update AMS files in regard to injury status
  • Ability to travel with squads if/when required
  • Work closely within a multidisciplinary SSSM team which includes sports doctor, dietitian and psychologist
  • Liaise with contract physiotherapists and manage physiotherapy services for the Male and Female National Championships
  • Assist with development of pre-season, in-season and post-season programs
  • Coordinate the physical program, excluding medical services, with Pathways Strength & Conditioning Coach
About YouThe successful candidate will have experience working with emerging athletes or youth teams in an elite sporting environment. They will have demonstrated ability in managing complex sport injuries and assessing and implementing successful rehabilitation programs utilising a multidisciplinary team. Additionally, they will have a strong ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships with a diverse group of players, coaches, and other stakeholders.To be considered, you will meet the below criteria:
  • Minimum tertiary qualification in Applied Science (Physiotherapy) or equivalent, and Masters level (or equivalent) in Sports Physiotherapy/Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy
  • Advanced emergency on-field management qualification
  • Titled Member of SPA or MPA
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working within the sporting industry
  • Current Victorian Employee Working with Children Check
