Hillcrest Christian College, established in 1981, operates from Early Learning to VCE levels. Rivercrest Christian College is an authorised International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP) World School, with modern facilities at Clyde North. It is a growing College, adding a new year level each year; our first Year 11 classes commence in 2024.
Rivercrest Christian College invites applications from a suitable background for the role of Design (STEM) and Visual Arts Assistant. This is a pivotal role responsible for providing vital support to both the STEM and Visual Arts departments. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to diverse educational experiences, blending STEM innovation with Visual Arts creativity, and fostering a safe and effective learning environment.
This multifaceted position encompasses:
1. Design STEM - Learning and Technical Support:
- Collaborating with teaching staff to facilitate STEM curriculum delivery.
- Assisting in the setup and maintenance of technical equipment and resources.
- Supporting the integration of technology and STEM tools into the classroom.
2. Visual Arts Support:
- Procuring and distributing materials for Visual Arts classes.
- Preparing classrooms and studios for Visual Arts lessons.
- Ensuring equipment and materials are well-maintained and ready for use.
The successful candidate will have:
- the desire to assist teachers and students in an environment where both Christian values and academic excellence are emphasised
- passionate about dealing with a variety of media and preparedness to assist with preparation, set up, cleaning and stock storage
- the ability to relate professionally to students and staff
