Form of workWe are currently recruiting for Multiskilled Operators, Crane Crew, Reach Stacker Operators and Dogman/Riggers to join our Darwin Stevedoring Team.
Aurizon, Australia’s largest and leading rail freight provider is expanding operations into the Port of Darwin and is inviting expressions of interest from experienced Stevedores to join our Northern Territory team.
Aurizon boasts a vast network of 5,130 kilometres of track infrastructure, 700 locomotives and 15,000 wagons, and a dedicated team of over 5000 employees. We are at the forefront of the rail industry, and with the recent acquisition of a Stevedoring licence, we are expanding our Bulk Central operations and providing alternate rail freight connections from the Port of Darwin.

About the role.
As a Stevedore with Aurizon, your responsibilities will include:
- Facilitating the loading and discharge of cargo, non-containerised cargo, and bulk products.
- Operating machinery such as Liebherr mobile harbour cranes, forklifts, front end loaders and Reach Stackers.
- Driving vehicles on/off Roll-on Roll-off vessels.
- Conducting shipboard and wharf duties, ship loading, lashing, and unlashing, and other general duties.
- Basic administrative duties including tally clerking.
- Ensuring adherence to loading/unloading schedules.
About you.
We are seeking motivated team players with effective communications skills to contribute to our expanding Port Services team. Successful candidates will have the ability to work flexible shifts over a 7-day 24- hour operation.
Essential:
- Manual unrestricted drivers’ licence
- Forklift licence
Preferred:
- Open Crane Licence
- Reach Stacker Licence
- Front End Loader ticket
- Rigging ticket
- Dogging ticket
Please note successful applicants must pass pre-employment checks including a medical. Stevedore roles will not be offered as FIFO/DIDO positions.
