ABOUT THE ROLE
As part of the Tony White Group, Traralgon Automotive Group is a successful, multi-franchise Dealership, with the desirable brands of Toyota, Hyundai, Nissan & SsangYong - located within the friendly Gippsland community - on the high-profile Princes Highway - East of Melbourne.
We have an an exciting new opportunity for a dedicated, motivated, and experienced Automotive Stock Controller to effectively manage our vehicle stock ordering, model mix, transfers, and customer orders.
This is a key operational position, so we require an enthusiastic, energetic, and well-presented individual who has pride in providing exceptional customer service and good attention to detail.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain stock control system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information on current stock and future orders
- Coordinate vehicle builds with the sales manager and parts department
- Prepare deal costings and coordinate accurate delivery timeframes
- Generate accurate invoices to, and process payments from suppliers
- Source and coordinate stock swaps with other dealerships
- Maintain timely customer contact for a seamless end-to-end sales process
- Complete vehicle orders in accordance with manufacturer guidelines
- Ensure vehicles are prepared and delivered to correct specifications
- Sales support and reporting functions
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven ability to build rapport and maintain key industry relationships
- Excellent communication, customer service and stakeholder liaison skills
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Efficient time management, scheduling and inventory optimisation skills
- Attention to detail, data accuracy and compliance
- High level computer literacy including experience with Microsoft Office suite
- Commitment to providing exceptional customer service in a professional, friendly manner
- Proven ability to identify opportunities to reduce costs and streamline systems associated with stock purchasing operations
- Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, manage multiple stakeholder requests and customer feedback to achieve positive outcomes
