We are seeking two values-driven and proactive Store Assistants for the Forster Family Store to provide support to the Family Store Manager and Corps Officers in providing collection and movement of donated goods from point of entry to point of sale. Reporting to the Store Manager, this is a Casual position based in Forster, NSW. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the

General Retail Award Level 3. You will successfully Provide exceptional customer service to all customers and provide appropriate assistance when working on the shop floor, fitting room, the register or anywhere else as reasonably required. Assist with the processing of all donations and ensure adequate amount of stock is on the shop floor at the correct price point.

Maximise sales and revenue through processing of donations to the store by receiving, sorting, pricing, hanging of saleable goods and disposal of non-saleable goods. Promote The Salvation Army's mission and services where appropriate.

Keep the store properly stocked and well presented. With the oversight of the Store Manager, ensure store financial processes are followed including completion of daily cash reconciliation, preparation of cash floats and banking. Assist with all housekeeping activities at the store to ensure all activities are done in a timely manner.

Follow all Work Health and Safety guidelines as outlined by The Salvation Army (TSA), including submitting Solvsafety incidents on a timely basis.

Perform store open & close established procedures as required. Provide direction, coaching and guidance to all team members as required. Report serious incidents to appropriate personnel in line with established procedures as required.

Perform additional tasks / duties as reasonably required by Line Management. You will have A current valid NSW Driver’s Licence. 1 year experience in mentoring/training and managing staff or ability to demonstrate capability to undertake Minimum 1 year experience in driving and/or operating commercial vehicles Proven experience in the recycling/transport industry a desirable Self-motivated and a strong work ethic Sound presentation and communication skills (both oral and written) to be able to interact and network positively with a variety of people.
