We have been supplying high quality building, garden & landscaping supplies to Melbourne, Geelong and beyond for nearly 45 years. The Daisy’s team includes approximately 190 people, working across 9 stores and 6 production sites, from Pakenham to Torquay. We are seeking Expressions of interest for Store Mangers who may be interested in joining our store team in the future.
The role
As a Store Manager you would report to an Area Manager and take ownership of the day to day running of the store, as well as sales growth activities and change management. Your key responsibilities would be:
- Provide leadership to the store team
- Provide excellent customer service
- Be responsible for overseeing daily store activities – customer service, delivery management, inventory and merchandising, presentation, open and close processes
- Oversee workplace health and safety and environmental compliance
- Implement operational and strategic improvements at store level
- Undertake sales growth activities
Expected hours of work
This is a full-time role with possible hours of work Monday to Saturday. Our stores are open between 6:30am and 4:30pm depending on the store and the day.
Skills & experience
The successful applicant will be someone who:
- Has strong experience working in a customer facing retail environment
- Has an excellent ability to form and maintain positive customer relationships
- Is comfortable learning to use a computerized point of sale system
- Can provide leadership and coaching to the store team
- Is comfortable learning to undertake sales growth activities
Experience with or knowledge of landscaping supplies advantageous. MR licence, forklift licence and/or front end loader competency advantageous but training will be provided if needed.
