Tully Canegrowers Cooperative Ltd. is seeking an experienced retail leader, ideally with hardware experience, to manage our Mission Beach Mitre 10 store.
We operate four Mitre 10 stores across Tully, Mission Beach and Cardwell and have serviced the local region for more than 60 years. The Mitre 10 brand, a loyal customer base, modern stores, and great staff have proven to be a successful business model for the Cooperative.
About the role:
We are looking for someone to take full accountability for driving retail fundamentals and developing a high-performance team, capable of achieving commercial targets. This will see you deliver sales and other KPI's, while creating a productive and safe work environment ensuring the continued success of our business. Knowledge of paint, plumbing, hardware, tools, timber and building materials is important to ensure you can support the team, and customer needs.
Responsibilities:
- Coach and develop your team's knowledge, skills, and behaviour to ensure a successful store culture.
- Develop and implement strategies to maximise customer service, employee development and store profitability.
- Work collaboratively with diverse teams and other Store Managers.
- Maintain accurate stock control and minimal loss and damage, including ordering, and stock transfers to and from the store.
- Connect and build relationships with builders, suppliers, stakeholders, and the local community to drive and maintain business in the area.
