Fifty years on from opening the doors of its first store, the group has evolved from one store to 25 and employs more than 1000 team members. While many things have changed, the family business’s commitment to consistently do better by its customers, communities and people has not. The owners are still very much involved in the business, but their family has now grown to include an incredible group of specialists who are equally passionate about the communities and customers they serve.
Our established independent supermarket group is looking for an enthusiastic Store Manager to lead the team at our FoodWorks Alexandra store.
About the role
The person we are seeking will be an experienced, self-motivated team player equipped to continue business growth and enhance customer satisfaction.
Ideally, the person we are looking for will have:
- Previous experience working in a supermarket,
- Direct leadership experience as you will need to lead, coach and develop your team to ensure maximum sales, profit and customer satisfaction are achieved,
- Strong interpersonal, communicational and organisational skills,
- A ‘hands on’ approach working with the team to achieve success,
- A sound knowledge of health and safety regulations,
- The ability to implement new systems as may be required, and
- A genuine desire to develop and maintain strong links with our community.
Responsibilities
- Full accountability for the day-to-day running of the store
- Stock purchasing and management
- Rostering to ensure a positive and compliant workplace while staying within budget
- Ensure high customer experience standards
- Monitoring and overseeing in-store promotions
- Regular interactions with customers and suppliers
- Ensuring effective Workplace Health and Safety standards are being maintained
- Working with higher management to expand and develop the growing business
The successful applicant will join a company which operates a group of supermarkets in regional Victoria, coastal Victoria, regional New South Wales and Metropolitan Melbourne. They will be supported by a Management Team which covers Finance, Operations, Human Resources, IT and Liquor Operations. Mutual support is also provided by the team of supermarket managers.
A Salary Package will be negotiated commensurate with experience.
