Position: Store Person

OVERALL PURPOSE
Pirtek Oil & Gas Pty Ltd (POG) Store Person will support inwards and outwards stock movements according to documented procedures. Maintain the accuracy and the integrity of stock including all associated documentation. Create and maintain a professional relationship with both internal and external stakeholders.
GENERAL FUNCTIONS AND TASKS
- Hold a current forklift licence
- To accept deliveries, unpack, check, receipt goods inwards, including the entry into the computer system, including unloading of trucks.
- Identify received goods as either stock items or job related and mark accordingly.
- Pick and pack parts orders.
- Report to the Operations Manager on a daily basis of any issues relating stock movements.
- Arrange all aspects of despatch, including transportation requirements for goods and if necessary loading trucks.
- Suitably package goods for despatch and give consideration to client specifications as required.
- Ensure all faulty credit stock is returned to the vendor in a timely manner and all paperwork associated with credits have been completed and recorded accurately.
- Liaise with the Office Administrator to attain all credit requests.
- Ensure all credits and customer orders are labelled correctly, kept in the designated areas and managed effectively.
- Conduct stock takes and rolling cycle counts as scheduled
- Any ad hoc tasks that may arise at the request of the Customer Service Officer and/or Managers; this may include the need to assist a hose technician.
- Keep warehouse areas clean, tidy and free of obstacles.
OVERALL
- Actively contribute to the overall activities and promote safe and good practices.
- Detect problems and be pro-active in finding solutions.
- Be aware of POG policies and work instructions as noted in the POG quality system.
TRAINING
Ensure adequate training i.e. computer training, POG work instructions and POG quality system are provided for the Store Person.
OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY
- Always wear relevant Personal Protective Equipment at all times.
- Ensure compliance with WHS responsibilities.
- Any personal injury is to be reported immediately.
- Report safety defects to the Operations Manager and be pro-active with finding a solution.
- Ensure compliance with safety rules, not to intentionally or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything which is provided in the interest of health and safety.
- Take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and other persons who are at your place of work.
- Not to aid or abet any person in breaching the safety legislation.
NECESSARY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Forklift licence
- The ability to accept deliveries, check stock, and complete paperwork
- Experience in pick and pack order for dispatch and for assembly
- Ability to communicate written and verbal with couriers, customer and staff
- Identify faulty items, quarantine, completion of appropriate paperwork. follow though
- Conduct stock take and checks on stock levels
- Computer receipting of stock
DESIRABLES
- Dogman Ticket.
- Syteline or similar ERP system experience
- Hose assembly industry experience
