About the Role
We are seeking a Store Person , for a Part-Time(30 hours a week) opportunity a The Collaroy Centre, NSW.
Provide comprehensive support in a fast-paced catering/kitchen environment , including managing inventory and stock levels, receiving incoming goods, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of store rooms, and assisting with various operational tasks throughout both the kitchen and dining room.
Key Responsibilities:
You will be successful in this role if you can:
- Receive deliveries following NSW food safety requirements, including temperature control verification and proper storage procedures.
- Report stock control data (including low stock and expiry dates) to the Head Chef.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness, organise stock, maintain stores and refrigeration in accordance with NSW food safety regulations.
- Implement FIFO (First-In, First-Out) stock rotation principles to minimize waste and ensure food quality.
- Follow all NSW food safety protocols and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and hygienic work environment.
- Assist chefs with food preparation tasks as required, following their instruction, and adhering to safe handling practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the catering and kitchen department.
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
- Food Handler Basics Certificate
- Knowledge of the NSW Food Act and NSW Health regulations
- A National Criminal History Check is required
- A WWCC is required
- Flexibility with hours at times to meet the operational requirements of the role
- Working Days will be Monday - Friday
