The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for you to gain a qualification whilst working full time and to establish a career path with us as a first year Trainee Store Person - Certificate 3 in Supply Chain Operations (Warehousing Operations) and join our Mackay (Paget) team. This newly created role will enable us to keep up with our future strategic growth plans and keep up with the continued ongoing demand from our customers. You will learn a broad range of skills and the key purpose of the role is to organise and process the picking and packing of products to maximise the efficiency of deliveries and convenience to customers. You will receive continuous support and mentoring throughout your Traineeship and your responsibilities will include all aspects of the warehousing process, including:
- Accurately measuring goods during the receiving and shipping of products process
- Unpacking shipments
- Stock allocation
- Picking and packing orders prepared by sales team
- Processing internal stock transfers
- Performing Stocktakes
- Ensuring safe work practices are followed
- Maintaining general upkeep of warehouse
- Arranging freight
Experience
- Previous relevant experience in Retail, Warehousing and/or experience working with Hydraulic Seals would be an advantage, however extensive job training via a Traineeship and on the job mentoring will also be provided.
- We are also open to recent school leavers seeking a qualification and career
- Able to measure using stock using vernier callipers is an advantage
- Basic computer skills
