ROLE DESCRIPTION:
About the client: Our client is a corporation of complementary business units that design, manufacture, distribute and service diesel and natural gas engines and related technologies, including fuel systems, controls, air handling, filtration, emission solutions and electrical power generation systems. They are the world’s largest independent designer and manufacturer of diesel engines.
Where the role sits within the wider team:
You will be working for the Distribution Business Unit. This is where the Cummins diesel engines are reconditioned, and it also functions as the warehouse that stores and distributes their spare parts. As the Store person you will be working for the parts distribution centre, performing general pick packer duties such as :
• Picking, packing, and loading products based on daily orders
• Receiving, stocking, and stacking incoming stock
• Scanning and sorting outgoing stock
• Meets specifics of customer orders in a timely manner.
• Monitors product quality frequently, reporting problems to mitigate safety issues.
• Operates various pieces of equipment ( Forklift) - Reach Forklift experience is a must
• Reports any mechanical problems.
• Follows good manufacturing practices and required work safe practices.
• Maintains a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Preferred level of experience:
• Someone with 3 years' experience who can hit the ground running is preferred.
• High-reach forklift experience is mandatory.
License required:
RF Forklift license
