About this Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Store / Warehouse Operator to join our team on a permanent full-time basis at our site in Dudley Park.
Reporting to the Operations Leader, this role will be responsible for:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the store, efficient receipt, storage, and despatch, including but not limited to picking, packing and distribution of goods from the Dudley Park Warehouse.
- Capable of undertaking all the Stores roles, inventory control and functions
- Goods receiving, unloading & checking goods against purchase orders - Handling, quality checking and receipting in correctly through warehouse management system. Leading and ensuring material inventory management occurs and is in line with Business regulations.
- Prepare finished products for transportation (packing/strapping).
- Managing stock and performing logistics operations.
- Assisting customers & couriers/transport companies with order collections - Arranging transport of products to customers site - Coordinate with shipping carriers to arrange timely and cost-effective transportation.
- Lead the stores area by ensuring adherence to processes and procedures.
- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by conducting regular cycle counts and assisting with periodic inventory audits.
- Stocktake/cycle counts - Key stocktake counts/recounts – check and resolve anomalies.
- Ensuring inventory movements and inventory integrity are maintained
- Product labelling and identification.
- Some assembly of Valves using hand and power tools
- Testing valves using air and test rigs.
- Maintain a clean and safe warehouse
About You
We are looking for a candidate who is self-motivated. To be successful in this role you will have the following experience and skills:
- previous experience as a Warehouse/Store person
- high attention to detail
- sound problem-solving skills and able to prioritise and organise tasks
- ‘can-do’ attitude
- a strong customer service focus with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- experience with Microsoft Office products & ERP system
- driver’s licence and forklift licence
- experience in the valves industry is desirable
