Storeman / Inventory Controller

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM ( possibly flexible)Company Overview:

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organised Storeman / Inventory Person with a High Reach Forklift License to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage inventory, track stock levels, and ensure accurate records of incoming and outgoing goods within our warehouse facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in inventory management, strong attention to detail, and the ability to operate high reach forklifts safely and efficiently as well as a very hands on approachKey Responsibilities:

• Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments of frozen goods, ensuring accuracy and completeness of orders.
• Organise and maintain inventory storage areas, ensuring efficient use of space and proper stock rotation.
• Conduct regular stock counts and audits to reconcile physical inventory with system records.
• Prepare and process orders for shipment, including picking, packing, and labelling frozen products.
• Operate high reach forklifts to move pallets and stock within the warehouse as needed.
• Collaborate and lead Permanent and casual team members to fulfil customer orders and meet delivery deadlines.
• Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders regarding inventory issues, discrepancies, and replenishment needs.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace.
• Assist with general warehouse duties as required, including cleaning, organising, and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications:

• High reach forklift license with demonstrated experience in safe forklift operation.
• Proven experience in inventory management or warehouse operations, preferably in the food industry ,
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and data entry.
• Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with coworkers and suppliers.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and work in cold storage environments. ( max 25 kg)
• Flexible team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
