KEY RESULT AREAS (TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES): JOB SPECIFICWarehouse and Logistical Operations
• Picking and packing orders for despatch against agreed nationally set KPI’s and guidelines. All items are to be packed under the relevant category and in an organised and presentable manner. Safety and economical approach to be considered at all times. • When receiving goods all items are to be checked against purchase orders and processed in the ERP system accurately and in timely manner. • Picking stock in accordance with the packing slip ensuring quantity and location of item in the warehouse • All goods returned are to be accurately processed in line with Independence Australia’s returns policy. • Participate in the annual stock take as requested or directed. • For all urgent courier deliveries, label preparation is to be accurately completed in line with the agreed guidelines. All consignment numbers are to be generated in the ERP system. • Work in a team environment under limited supervision as well as autonomously. • Operate a forklift in a safe manner following warehouse speed guidelines.• Conduct of regular spot checks to ensure accuracy • Undertake activities across all areas of the warehouse and logistics function in accordance with role level and attends training for development as required for multi skilling. Business ERP Systems • To process, print and review orders in the allocated ERP system for accuracy and tracking purposes. • Understands the use of ERP system and follows detailed instructions and procedures for actioning processed orders.
KEY RESULT AREAS (TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES): ORGANISATIONALOccupational Health & Safety
• Have a duty to take care for their own health and safety and of others affected by their actions or inactions at work.• Comply with safety procedures and practices that have been put in place by Independence Australia to minimise the risk of injury to workers, contractors, customers, volunteers and visitors and to control identified hazards in the workplace.• Do not willfully interfere with or misuse equipment, materials or facilities provided in the interest of health, safety and welfare of those who attend a workplace.• Do not willfully interfere with or misuse information or instructions provided in the interest of health, safety and welfare of those who are in their care at the workplace.• In accordance with agreed Independence Australia procedures for accident and incident reporting, report near misses, potential and actual hazards to their immediate supervisor for resolution.• Participate in regular safety checks, including fire drills and contribute to the evaluation and review of such procedures.• Attend training provided or organised by Independence Australia to ensure compliance with OHS requirements. Quality and Continuous Improvement • Assist with preparation for quality and ISO audits when required.• Identify opportunities for best practice and continuous improvement and communicate these effectively with the team and the organisation.• Ensure that the services provided by Independence Australia to internal and external customers, are maintained in accordance with our quality measures and are effectively communicated in a timely matter.Policies and Procedures • All IA employees are required to acquaint themselves with the organisation’s policies and procedures and to abide by them at all times. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
• Good written and verbal communication skills• Computer literacy and ERP systems• Basic knowledge of MHE• Previous experience in a fast paced, high volume distribution retail warehouse environment• Must possess good warehousing skills and have a sound knowledge of warehousing principals including warehouse safety and safe work practices• A Current Forklift license• An understanding and good grasp of product knowledge relevant to the area of continence and wound care (desirable)• Previous practical experience / knowledge of Greentree system / inventory / accounts receivable computer system is an advantage
