Storeperson

Location:  Tamworth, NSW

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Plant and Fleet division of Tamworth Regional Council is seeking the services of an individual with experience in stores or warehouse operations to join the team!

  • Be responsible for assisting in the general operation of Council’s Warehouses and procurement processes
  • Working with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain and control inventory

 COULD THIS BE YOU?

To be successful in this role you will hold a Certificate III in Transport and Distribution (Warehousing & Storage) or have equivalent experience in stores operation as well as hold a current driver licence. You will be highly motivated and have a great customer focus.

The storeperson is responsible for:

  • Assisting the warehouse supervisor in the general operation of Council’s Warehouses.
  • Ordering, Receiving, Storing and Issuing material and equipment, into and out of Councils warehouse.
  • Check bulk fuel storage levels and arrange refill as necessary and maintain bulk fuel records.
  • Ensure the proper completing of computerised records and documentation as required.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED

  • NSW Drivers Licence
  • Certificate III in Transport & Distribution (Warehousing & Storage) or equivalent OR 3 -5 years experience in stores operation
  • Forklift Operators Licence

Salary range: Grade 6 - $1044.60 - $1130.40 per week excluding superannuation and for a 38 hour work week. Salary may be negotiated based on skills, experience and your value to our organisation.

Flexible working arrangements will be considered by mutual agreement and according to operational requirements.
