The Opportunity
As a Storeperson, you will be responsible for warehouse activities across the branch as well as ensuring customer satisfaction through picking, packing and dispatch of customer orders in a timely manner. This role will see you work across the warehouse, trade showroom (as needed) and support with delivery of orders to our major customers.
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity and will be based around a Monday – Friday roster at Blackwoods Broken Hill (Argent St).
Some of the Tasks in the Role
- Processing goods inward and dispatch, stock movement and storage in the warehouse
- Pick, pack and prepare orders for dispatch in a timely and accurate manner
- Undertake regular deliveries to major customers using the branch delivery truck
- Stocking of customer inventory vending machines
- Conduct relevant warehouse administration and inventory tasks (including stocktaking)
- Maintain warehouse area in clean and tidy state
- Operate machinery/equipment to assist with daily tasks in line with Blackwoods policy
Some of the Skills Required:
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment desirable
- The ability to work autonomously or as part of a team as required
- Sound written, verbal communication and computer skills.
- Australian drivers license
- Forklift license desirable
