With a history of over 160 years in the Australian and New Zealand sugar industries, Wilmar Sugar Australia operations span the value chain from sugar cane growing, sugar manufacturing, refining, exporting, and marketing, to the production of renewable electricity, ethanol and sustainable agricultural products.
To be more specific, Wilmar manufactures over half of Australia's raw sugar, and each year exports enough electricity to power more than 68,000 Australian homes for 12 months. As well as supplying ethanol (ethyl alcohol) to the growing fuel market in Australia, Wilmar also supplies a significant market share to various industries including the pharmaceutical, printing, cleaning, winery, aerosol, animal health and food and beverage industries.
About the Role
We are currently seeking applications for a Permanent Storeperson to join our team at Victoria Mill in the township of Ingham in the Herbert Region.
This role is responsible for processing all stock management transactions in the SAP system. It requires accurate recording of items issued, stock reporting, customer requests and ensuring that dangerous goods are issued with the appropriate OH&S information, as well as assisting with deliveries, dispatching and organising stock items. This is a day work position which may require some overtime.
The opportunity
While the following qualifications and experience are requirements of this role, we are prepared to provide training to people who possess the right aptitude and team fit:
- Previous stores/warehousing experience
- SAP Materials Management experience
- Forklift Licence (HRWL)
You will need to possess excellent communicate skills. And a high ability to work in a small team environment to achieve defined deadlines.
