About the role
- Manage and control the issue of parts required for work orders.
- Receive and dispatch goods in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Maintain auditable and legible documentation.
- Develop and maintain tooling register.
- Maintain lifting equipment register.
- Manage the returns of surplus stock items to complete work order requirements.
- Ensure all statutory requirements are fulfilled in the stores area.
- Comply with all aspects of the Quality Assurance System and relevant site quality plans, reporting and non-conformances to your supervisor.
- Maintain accurate records for storage and transport of goods including Dangerous/Hazardous Goods and COR.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Inspect goods on receipt and ensure non-compliant or damaged goods are reported to your supervisor.
- Escort delivery vehicles within site area in a safe manner in accordance with SWP’s.
- Conduct freight unloading and loading in accordance with SWP’s.
- Lead continuous improvement activities and provide technical knowledge to improve stores efficiency.
- Conduct inventory audits.
- Ensure site stock take and cycle counts are completed.
- Maintain PPE, stock levels and consumables.
- Prepare service kits as required and ensure adequate stock levels for work orders.
- Conduct and record daily fuel and oil dips.
- Lead continuous improvement activities and provide technical knowledge to improve stores efficiency.
- Regular communication with suppliers and Mackay warehouse to ensure replacement parts are available to meet demand.
- Liaise with planning staff to determine and update requirements for planned work on a daily basis.
- Liaise with Supervisors, OEM PSA’s to arrange timely and appropriate preparation of goods and documentation for return of warranty, service exchange and owned parts and components.
To be successful you will have:
- Certificate S11
- Current Australian Drivers Licence (including C Class driver’s license)
- Current Coal Board Medical or willingness to complete along with a Pre-Employment Medical
- Forklift license
- Computer skills (Microsoft office suite)
- Computerised catalogue and inventory control experience
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
- Work Planning and scheduling skills
Desirable
- Warehousing in construction and/or heavy equipment experience
- Experience working for a medium to large mine operator/contractor
- First aid certification
- Coal Board Medical
