Stores and Freight Coordinator

  • Initial 12 month Fixed-Term contract with a view to Permanency

This role is based at Perisher, the largest ski resort in the Southern Hemisphere, located in the beautiful Snowy Mountains region of South-Eastern NSW and just a two-hour drive from Canberra and the Far South Coast. Perisher is part of Vail Resorts who own and operate ski areas including iconic resorts including Falls Creek and Hotham in Australia as well as Park City, Beaver Creek, Whistler Blackcomb and Vail in North America.

As a Stores and Freight Coordinator you will effectively manage the Smiggin Holes Workshop stores function to ensure the timely and cost-effective provision of all goods and equipment. You will also help coordinate the freight logistics for all of Perisher’s business units.

In a typical day in this role, you might:

  • Purchasing, control and issuing of stock through the current inventory and maintenance systems
  • Review of purchase order batch issues to maintain adequate stock levels
  • Loading and unloading of freight deliveries as required (materials handling equipment) and ensure valuable goods are adequately secured
  • Help with the co-ordination of stocktakes and help monitor inventory levels across the Smiggin Holes Workshop and satellite store locations

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • High attention to detail
  • An understanding of computer programs
  • Proven administration skills
