About the Role
We are seeking an experienced individual for a permanent full-time position to actively participate in our warehouse operations while also overseeing our logistics activities. This role involves a wide range of warehouse responsibilities with a particular emphasis on managing and communicating with logistics partners to stay updated on deliveries, obtaining pricing estimates, identifying areas for enhancement, and overseeing the performance of freight forwarders to ensure compliance with service level agreements.
Key Responsibilities of the Role:
- Warehouse Operations such as loading, unloading, receipting, picking, packaging, manifest creation, and goods dispatch.
- Liaising with logistic partners to obtain freight quotes and delivery updates.
- Forklift operation- High Reach experience ideal.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders to negotiate and secure the best rates for shipments.
- Data entry, coding, locating inventory and filing documents.
- Inventory processes, goods inward, outwards receipting and outbound freight processes.
- Monitor the performance of freight forwarders and ensure adherence to agreed service levels.
The Ideal Candidate will have:
- Minimum 3 years in a similar role
- Forklift LF licence (Essential)
- High Reach Experience.
- Demonstrated experience of warehouse activity including the processes of product receipt, pick, pack and dispatch.
- Experience using barcode scanners and other technologies for tracking stock movements.
- Good knowledge of working online with freight portals.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office computer skills, in particular Excel.
