Leonardo's Helicopter Division (LHD) performs research, design, development, production, customer support and marketing of Leonard's extensive range of products; modern helicopters and tiltrotors for civil, parapublic and defence applications. The Division manages the entire helicopter development and production cycle. Production and assembly plants are concentrated in Italy, UK, Poland and the US. The AW139, AW169 and AW189 models are part of a family of new generation helicopters, all featuring the same design philosophy and the same certification and safety standards.
The Australian subsidiary is a full service operation undertaking business development, logistics management, aircraft assembly and maintenance and other related support functions. Engineering activities are concerned with aircraft assembly and disassembly for transport by air and sea, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, aircraft modifications and deployed support to customer maintenance activities. Typical customers are emergency services, offshore operators, government and private customers.
About the role
We are seeking a Stores Person (2-5 years experience) for our Essendon Fields Warehouse to organise and manage the physical dispatch, receipt and internal movements of all stock relating to our Helicopter business. Acting in a safe and efficient manner with a focus on upholding OH&S standards and providing excellent customer service to our Helicopter Team. The role will also be responsible for maintaining quality inventory controls, record keeping and stock take activities. In addition, the role will be responsible for monitoring and management of all stock movement.

Skills and experience
The Stores Person will be responsible for:
Store Organisation
- Goods receipt including checking of equipment
- Goods dispatch
- Inventory control including stock takes, equipment audits
This role requires:
- Relevant logistics, IT/data input, systems & warehousing AQF certification and or relevant work experience
- Receiving and dispatch of goods, physically and electronically.
- Preparation of freight documents and core returns to manufacturers
- Maintaining accurate parts records and files in line with regulatory requirements.
- Quality control and inspection of parts
- A Key eye to detail
- Computer literacy & Data entry
- Competent in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and Outlook)
- Must hold Australian Citizenship Status & willing to undertake a National Police Check
Desirable experience:
- Aviation warehouse experience or similar industry
- SAP
- Hold a fork lift licence
- Sound data input/computer/IT system skills
- Flexible to work across weekends & public holidays (as required approx. 1 weekend a month) on a rotational roster.
