As a result of continuous national growth, LAI Group are seeking a Stores Person to join our team at our head office in Adelaide (Ferryden park) within our Stores department. We would like team members who are excited about the opportunity to build a stable, rewarding, and lucrative career with us.
Schedule
Full-time
A 38-hour week (Monday – Friday + reasonable overtime).
Wage (Negotiable - Experience, knowledge, and ability will be taken into consideration).
The Position
As a Stores Person at LAI Group, you will be required to assist in ordering, maintaining, and reporting stock reports to the department manager. This role is important in ensuring our tradespersons have the appropriate equipment to complete their projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete delivery dockets for despatch of product, make freight arrangements, complete, and prepare project documentation for delivery.
- Issue or complete credit requests, quarantine and return non-conforming products to suppliers.
- Conduct stock report and good receive inspections on the quality and quantity of the goods received.
- Maintain rapport with suppliers and communicate any positive remarks and/concerns as necessary.
- Maintain inventory as required.
The Candidate
- Strong communication skills – The appropriate candidate may be required to speak to LAI Group customers and suppliers.
- Previous experience in a Stores Person position or similar.
- Ability to work in a team environment or autonomously as needed.
- Inventory software experience to assist in tracking goods coming in and out.
- High attention to detail.
- Great organisational skills and time management skills.
Desired Competencies
- Tertiary education if warehouse management or a similar education.
- Forklift licence
