Job Description

• Bring your passion and feel the energy 
• Be a key contributor to the Architecture peer group(with Stores Infra, Integration and other domain architects) 
• Support Stores Transformation Program with their strategy and roadmap

Stores Solution Architect will be responsible for helping the Endeavour Group IT build up its architecture practice, not limited to but including its Stores and Venues architecture with a focus on Stores applications and services. You will be involved in developing target state architecture and roadmaps for Stores relevant - enterprise and digital platforms and systems.

Responsible for building end-to-end solution design for products and applications within our Stores- for an initial transition state to lift and shift from Woolworths and subsequent iterative transformation to best fit EGL.
Partnering with business, engineering and product stakeholders to determine system requirements and designing fit-for-purpose solutions

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:

• Design architectural solutions for retail-focused applications e.g store systems, POS, back of house functions and shelf ticketing, ensuring simplicity and operational integration with ERPs, E-commerce, OMS and other systems.
• Conduct ongoing assessments of retail application designs for alignment with architectural principles throughout project life cycles.
• Autonomously diagnose and resolve architecture and integration issues specific to retail systems.
• Collaborate with Data Governance, Cybersecurity, and Platform teams, as well as Risk and Portfolio Offices, to capture and track assessment-related issues in project and risk registers.
• Facilitate the adoption of target-state architectures, focusing on retail platforms and systems.
• Maintain consistency in retail application solution decisions across the enterprise, aligning them with target architectures.
• Enhance retail application performance and security through enterprise-level solutions, including robust access control measures.

Qualifications

Now let’s talk about you: 

• Tertiary qualifications in computer science, engineering, or related field, and/or relevant industry certifications such as TOGAF.
• Proven track record as a Solution Architect, preferably gained in large, complex organizations.
• Previous experience in the Retail sector, with expertise in store systems, POS systems, retail inventory management and shelf ticketing systems and how they integrate and interface with other core applications such ERP, Order Managements systems, e-commerce systems and Inventory management applications.
• Experience with retail stores demerger is highly desirable.
• Strong business analysis capabilities and exceptional stakeholder engagement skills.
• Excellent communication abilities, along with negotiation and influence skills.
• Demonstrated consulting experience, offering advice and solutions to internal stakeholders.
• Expertise in developing architectures for complex retail systems, including conceptual, logical, and physical layers.
• Any experience in an Enterprise Architecture management tool is desirable.
