About the roleIn this role, you will provide support on stormwater related services and projects across the City of Greater Geelong.
Work type: Permanent full timeClassification: Band 6 ($90,263-$97,365 pa plus super)
Key responsibilities include:
Manage Catchment Management Study and Flood Study projects undertaken by specialist consultants.
Assist in development and review of plans and guidelines used for the management of stormwater infrastructure.
Review stormwater management strategies and reports on structure plans, re-zonings, subdivisions and development applications, specific to stormwater management best practice and areas prone to flooding.
Input to and support for planning scheme amendment schedules and documentation, specific to implementing flood and stormwater planning controls and urban growth.
Assist in development and implementation of policies which relate to the service planning of stormwater management, including Integrated Water Management, Stormwater Quality, and Flood Management.
About youTo be successful in this role, you will have a tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent disciplines.
Essential Experience:
Demonstrated experience in project management.
Understanding of flood studies and flood risk management.
Ability to interpret and apply hydrologic, hydraulic, stormwater quality treatment and reuse modelling. Experience in the application and use of GIS and stormwater modelling tools would be highly regarded (including ArcGIS, RORB, DRAINS, HEC-RAS, TUFLOW, InfoWorks ICM and MUSIC).
Ability to investigate/analyse both flood and environmental risk mitigation and treatment options.
Experience in investigation, analysis and selection of flood mitigation and drainage treatment options.
Current Victorian Drivers Licence
