 About the role

We are looking for an experienced Strategy Specialist who can lead and support various work streams within the Strategy and Performance Business Unit. 

You will be based in Leederville, and reporting to the Manager – Corporate Strategy, you will be responsible to lead the collection, analysis and reporting of strategy and related information and data to support critical decision making in the formulation, development, and delivery of strategy, planning and analytics for the business.

Leederville is a lively suburb, 5 minutes from Perth’s CBD. There is plenty of places to eat and hang out, and you are only 5-minutes away from the nearest train station - An easy commute when you are heading into the office.

 What the role will involve

·        Conduct research to identify strategic best practices and options available to the Board, Executive or Senior Managers  

·        Assisting the Unit to facilitate the strategy development process with the Board, Executive and Senior Management team.

·        Facilitate and support strategy activities with key stakeholders across the business, including basic facilitation  

·        Developing and maintaining a fact base which creates a single view of the strategic environment as it pertains to the Corporation.

·        Lead the collection, analysis and synthesis of information and data from sources internal and external to the Corporation in order to turn it into actionable strategic management information.

·        Providing essential coordination and analysis to set corporate objectives and KPIs, assisting in the cascade of KPIs through the business.

·        Leading specific strategic investigations, reviews and projects.

·        Leading the development and submission of key strategic documents for WA government departments

·        Build and maintain effective relationships both internally and externally to enable the successful development and delivery of strategy. 

·        Build and maintain credible relationships with peers, analysts, consultants, and senior members of the Corporation. 

Key skills and experience

You’re a strategy and performance leader at heart with great experience in driving a strategy approach and communicating insights effectively to drive decisions.

You have a sound understanding of contemporary strategic frameworks and approaches to developing strategies.

You believe your extensive experience in relationship building and customer service is second to none. You have great understanding of clients wants and needs and take appropriate action to develop strong and collaborative relationships with stakeholders.

Your background and wide-ranging grasp of strategy development, business planning and stakeholder management gives you the insights to continually improve ways of working - and find better outcomes for customers.
