About the role
We have a rare opportunity to join MercyCare to provide governance and strategic support to our CEO, Board, Company Members and Executive Leadership Team. This pivotal position provides rational and timely guidance on governance requirements informed by an in-depth understanding of the organisation’s structure, constitution and strategic direction.
About you
With an appreciation of our heritage, values and mission, you will bring extensive experience guiding leaders through strategic development combined with a pragmatic application of governance principles. With the ability to anticipate leadership needs, you’ll be skilled in navigating highly complex organisation structures including those in the charity, Not for Profit and community sectors. Your key experience will include:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications, ideally including the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
- Extensive understanding of large and complex, leadership, strategy, organisational culture and value systems dominant in not-for-profit and/or faith-based organisations.
- Proven record of success within a large and complex service-related environment.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate governance, statutory, and organisational requirements.
- Knowledge and experience of strategic planning principles and practice.
- Knowledge of the role of the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission and related legislation.
- National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
