SalaryStrawberry Time require 200 Part-time staff working a minimum 30 hours a week. Successful applicants will work across both our Harvest and Maintenance teams. The positions are for a period of six-nine months commencing in May 2024. Workers that wish to relocate for these positions must be prepared to relocate at their own expense. The work will be based in the following Regions.
- Stanthorpe- Granite Belt
- Logan City and Scenic Rim

Be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Be fit and healthy; not be colour blind or vision impaired (as the role requires employees to pick berries at specific stages of ripeness); Be able to multi-task with attention to detail. Be able to acquire good speed and to learn manual tasks Be able to follow instructions, learn and apply new process quickly, be able to work in a team environment. Applicants must be available to work 5-7 days per week. The hours will start around 4:30am to 6:30pm(as needed). Employees must be physically fit and capable of performing the repetitive and demanding nature of the work. This may include carrying weight of up to 20kg, climbing a ladder, bending and squatting for long periods of time throughout the heat of the day.
You must have your own reliable transport. Part of our commitment to safety in the workplace, please be aware that all workers will be subject to Random Drug and Alcohol screening.
When farm work is conducted, it will be paid as an hourly rate, Part time hourly rate under the Award is $22.61 per hour. We will be wrapping in leave loading to your rate of pay, which means your base hourly rate will be $22.91 per hour including the 17.5% leave loading.
Initially all work will be offered at the hourly rate including picking, packing, weeding, Trimming and planting with the possibility of piece work as or if required. When picking we may pay by the weight of fruit picked and packed to the standard required, rates do fluctuate depending on the crop situation. The minimum rate for the average competent worker is $26.34 per hour Including 17.5% leave loading with a minimum hourly rate of $22.91.All work is performed under the Horticulture Award 2020 Level 1 and the minimum rate is $22.91 per hour Including 17.5% leave loading. Upskilling and additional allowances may also be paid if you are trained in extra tasks, leading hand or first aid.
Hours worked will generally be Monday to Friday between the hours of 4:30am and 6:30pm. Weekend work occasionally be required.To be considered please provide a resume and cover letter.
