We are looking for a Structural Designer to join our team. Reporting to the Civil / Structural Discipline Manager, you will be required to initially work across a billion dollar gold plant expansion project.
Role Responsibilities:
• Develop multi discipline plant concepts and layouts across a range of industries using AutoCAD and Advance Steel.
• Manage and provide support to the project team to ensure compliance with all applicable legislation, standards, and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with the project team, clients and to other project stakeholders.
• Produce discipline specific deliverables that meet Primero Groups, the client’s and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Produce project drafting deliverables ensuring quality, schedule and integrity requirements are met.
• Review and provide feedback on vendor drawings and interdisciplinary design data.
Education and Experience:
• 2+ years’ experience in mining, mineral processing structural plant design.
• Previous experience in 3D modelling and drafting in a relevant CAD package.
• Ability to review and provide constructive feedback on vendor drawings and interdisciplinary design data.
• Understanding of statutory and industry regulations and HSE practices.
• Knowledge and practical application of design theories, principles and practices.
• Proven ability to work efficiently and effectively within a multi-discipline team environment.
• Proven ability to work autonomously or as a part of team.
• Strong problem-solving and planning skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong attention to detail.
