About the role
Our Energy and Resources Division works with major exploration and distribution clients to deliver specialist mining, oil and gas projects across the country. These include mining process plant modifications, upstream flowlines, leases, network gathering and distribution systems, major gas transmission pipelines, oil and gas processing facilities, as well as maintenance and construction related work programs.
We are currently looking for aSenior Structural Designer to join our fast growing engineering team in the Perth office.
Skills & experience
The successful applicant will be responsible for the preparation and review of high-quality designs, documentation and specifications satisfying both organisation and client expectations. We are looking for an energetic team player who can confidently liaise directly with clients and manage workflow with junior designers.
Personal and professional requirements for this role include:
- Relevant qualification in structural drafting and detailing
- Demonstrated structural design drafting experience, ideally within onshore oil and gas projects
- Experience in steel fabrication detailing - highly regarded
- Strong technical understanding of AutoCAD and Advance Steel - essential
- Experience in mining and heavy industrial projects - highly regarded
- Ability to collaborate with multiple engineering disciplines
- Ability to work unsupervised and to mentor junior designers
- Attention to detail and ability to review models and drawings to ensure consistent drawing presentation and correct drawing information
