ABOUT THE POSITION
 
We are currently seeking an experienced and Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) to join our dynamic team as a Structural Engineer. The successful candidate together with the Senior Structural Engineer will play a crucial role in overseeing and mentoring our junior engineering staff, ensuring the timely and high-quality delivery of projects.
 
The role offers the opportunity to work in a growing and dynamic environment.
 
Responsibilities:

• Provide mentorship and guidance to two junior Structural Engineers who are not RPEQ registered.
• Collaborate with the current senior engineer to manage and oversee the workload of the junior staff.
• Ensure that projects are completed within established timelines and meet the required quality standards.
• Utilize expertise in cold-formed steel to contribute valuable insights to project design and execution.
• Contribute to the growth of the business by actively participating in project development and client interactions.

 
Essential Criteria:

• Registration as a Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) is mandatory.
• At least 7 years of Structural Engineering experience.
• Expertise in cold-formed steel design and engineering.
• Proven experience in mentoring and overseeing junior engineering staff.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and contribute to the growth of the business.

 
Additional Information:

• The company is open to considering multiple candidates due to its expanding business.
• Alternatively, RPEQ-registered contractors with their own insurance may also be considered (rate dependent).
