Our client is a successful and well establish engineering consultancy specialising in heavy industry and bulk export and are conveniently based in Brisbane CBD.

The Role
 As a Structural Engineer, you will be expected to deliver quality engineering outcomes for clients and complement the mechanical engineering function of the business.

• Prepare design calculations and reports
• Produce technical specifications
• Develop concepts, pre-feasibility, feasibility, and detailed design tasks
• Support the drafting function, as required
• Prepare tender submissions
• Use and maintain the internal job management and reporting systems
• Budget and schedule management of your team
• Liaise with clients, as required

While this role is predominantly office based, you will be required to travel from time to time to attend site visits, inspections and/or audits as well as attend external client meetings.
 
You

• Tertiary qualification in Structural Engineering
• Experience working in a local  consultancy (applicants must have Australian or New Zealand experience)
• Experience working on industrial projects – mining, ports, heavy industry etc
• High level structural design abilities
• Competency in industry standard design software e.g. SPACE GASS, STRAND7
• Attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
