We are an established organisation in the engineering field, specialising in temporary works. As part of our expansion, we are seeking a Junior Structural Engineer to join our Adelaide Head Office. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with our experienced team and contribute to significant projects across Australia and New Zealand.
Your new role
As a Junior Structural Engineer, this role is for an all rounder. Your day could see you do:
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the 2IC (Second-in-Command) who will retire in 2 to 3 years.
- Assist in technical data shoots and testing, wearing multiple hats.
- Work on various projects, updating technical data sheets for specific products.
- Utilise IT skills, including proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe AutoCAD (2D and 3D).
- Engage with local and interstate engineers to deliver projects nationwide and overseas.
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree qualification (Bachelor's or Master's) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, Technical, Economics, Information Systems, or related fields.
- Alternatively, someone in their last year of degree or straight out of university.
- Prior experience as a Structural Engineer or structural design engineer is advantageous.
- Strong local knowledge or education is preferred.
Skills:
- Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
- Familiarity with database systems and ETL processes.
- Ability to draft test cases for unit testing, integration testing, and UAT.
- Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset
