The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join our Sydney team based in our CBD office. This role provides an opportunity to work with other Engineers including Senior and Principal Engineers who are leaders in their areas of expertise.
Our ideal candidate would have 3 to 6 years’ experience in consulting Structural Engineering, be comfortable in both technical and external design team facing project roles, with motivation to support a growing team.
About the role:
You will be responsible for:
• Undertaking Structural Engineering design from concept to detailed
• Working on the design of building structures, maritime structures, and civil structures
• Undertaking site visits during the design and construction phases
• Completion condition assessment and reporting on building and maritime structures, including an understanding of timber condition and rating systems
• Maintaining client relationships on the projects you work on
You will be working towards (or have already commenced):
• Leading projects and preparing fee proposals
• Developing client relationships
• Maintaining an awareness of innovations and changes to regulations in the industry
• Identifying and assessing project risks and communicating these to the team
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:
• approximately 3-6 years of relevant industry experience
• experience working and coordinating with external design team members and clients
• experience in design of building, maritime and civil structures
• experience in undertaking condition assessments of building and maritime structures
• experience with Spacegass, RAPT, RAM Concept and ETABS
