The Position:

Due to business growth, we are looking for mid level Structural Engineers to join the team. Based in Milton, you will work on a range of mining, ports and transport infrastructure (bridges, roads, rail) remediation design projects. 

This is a full-time permanent opportunity in a highly regarded and established consultancy that values its staff, invests in their professional development and rewards generously.

Responsibilities:

• Work on ongoing critical projects with a key focus on safety and quality.
• Work on structural design projects including computer-based analysis of mining/marine/transport infrastructure structures with concrete and steelwork;
• Liaise with staff members in other offices; and
• Other tasks as allocated by senior staff.

Selection Criteria:

Whilst there will be on-the-job training and the opportunity for career progression, the successful applicant will ideally have:

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
• 5-7 years' industry experience (client side or consulting) 
• Knowledge and experience using structural analysis software packages i.e. SpaceGass, Strand7;
• Sound knowledge and experience in structural design, analysis, client/stakeholder management and project delivery;
• Understanding/experience on major construction projects;
• Be working towards CP Eng and RPEQ;
• Highly developed communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills;
• Strong attention to detail and take pride in their work;
• Open unrestricted drivers licence;
• Be currently residing in Australia; and
• Fluent in English.

Experience with Cathodic Protection design and durability engineering working with marine, mobile machines, bulk materials handling or shafts/tunnel assets will also be advantageous.
