Due to the growth and success of our Adelaide office, we are currently searching for a Structural Project Engineer to join our team, based within our Mining, Infrastructure & Delivery division. Our team provides a range of structural integrity assessment programs and engineering support services to our mining and resources clients around Australia.
What you'll do:
- Working within a team of local professional engineers to deliver the structural assessment programs.
- Conduct structural integrity inspections to existing facilities, identify defects and undertake risk assessment accordingly.
- Provide practical recommendation and solution for remediation works.
- Frontline project coordination with both internal and external stakeholders, manage all relevant project activities in accordance with the requirements specified by WSP's project delivery framework.
- Prepare tender documents in accordance with clients' specification and requirements.
- Plan and monitor the progress to ensure all projects are delivered to meet quality requirements within allocated budget and timeframe.
- Follow WSP's HSE procedures and ensure all works are executed in a safe manner.
What we'll love about you:
- Bachelor's degree in civil or Structural Engineering
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn.
- Passion and ability to collaborate and be a team player.
- Flexible thinker who can be adaptive to varying scale of projects
- A Structural Engineer with 5+ years of experiences in structural engineering design and project management, experience in mining is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in:
- Fundamental structural engineering design or analysis for concrete, steel, heavy equipment supports.
- Experienced in leading a small team and project manager on medium sized projects.
- Strong communication skills and liaison with others, report writing skills and frontline management.
- Experienced with relevant Australian Standards and demonstrate understanding for industrial practice and constructability.
- Multi-tasking and consolidate project and program management skill is essential.
- Demonstrated experiences in resource planning, schedule planning, budget development, and cost tracking.
- Sound knowledge of HSE and experienced with risk assessment.
- Result driven and able to work independently.
- Adelaide based and some site travel is require.
