Concentis is partnering with Gladstone Port Corporation to source an experienced Structural Engineer to join their engineering team to provide project management support on the planning and delivery of sustaining capital projects across a complex brownfield environment.
You will provide technical and project management guidance in the continuous improvement of operational terminal assets across a diverse range of works throughout the full project lifecycle.
This is a Monday to Friday permanent opportunity that requires the individual to live in the Gladstone Area. Relocation packages can be offered for the right applicant.
Accountabilities:
· Manage engineering projects through the entire project life cycle, including evaluating tenders to select the best options with regard to quality, reliability, timeframe and cost.
· Provide technical advice to optimise and maximise plant, equipment output and life whilst reducing operation or equipment downtime and providing technical details and instructions as required
· Prepare budgets and manage financial resources to ensure all projects are delivered within capital and maintenance budget constraints
· Build relations with operations, maintenance and projects teams to achieve shared goals and ensure alignment with operational requirements
· Ensure Health, Safety, and Environment Management System requirements are upheld through behaviours, conditions and practices targeted at achieving zero incidents and injuries
· Continually foster GPCs Values and align with the Code of Conduct
About You:
· Tertiary qualifications in Structural Engineering with RPEQ and CPEng qualifications or willing to work towards.
· Proven experience in site-based engineering positions within the Mining, Oil & Gas, or Heavy Industrial Sectors
· Experience in managing works related to steel/concrete structures, conveyors and/or wharfs
· Demonstrated background in delivering Capex/Opex projects within mineral processing or bulk-handling brownfield environments
· Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously through the full project lifecycle and a strong understanding of project deliverables
· Ability to manage budgets, timeframes, and operations requirements aligning with a wide variety of stakeholders and priorities across the business
· Stakeholder engagement and management of contractors/EPCM’s
