About the role
The Student and Academic Services Officer is responsible for providing high quality administrative and services support within the College across a broad range of Student and Academic administrative functions.
The position acknowledges the interdependence of Student and Academic related matters, the importance of front counter student facing activities and back office administration.
The person we seek will support students and Academics via the following means, but not limited to:
Student Services
- Provide support to Burwood reception with phone and email enquiries
- Check the integrity of information and resources provided to staff and students via the Student Portal and Student Hub from trimester to trimester
- Process student requests for replacement documentation
- Provide administrative support to various Student and Academic committees
- Assist with College Orientations, U18 events, Graduations/Celebration of Completion and student experience activities
- Provide advice to students relating to College policies and procedures, program progression, transition to University and other student administrative related issues
- Undertake student monitoring duties including retention and performance calls
Academic Services
- Develop and maintain strong and effective relationships with non-academic and Academic staff
- Support the exam process and material integrity checks
- Review and process Recognition of Prior Learning requests
- Support Academic Misconduct requests
- Assist processing Enrolment Variations, Special Consideration, Change of Course and other student lifecycle requests
- Other duties as may be requested by a relevant manager
