THE OPPORTUNITY
Salary: $63,546 – 68,996 per annum + 11% super + annual leave loading.
Time Fraction: Full-time, 1.0 EFT position
Location: Chadstone Campus
WWCC: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check.
Position Status: Permanent appointment, with a 6-month qualifying period.
Join our dedicated team as a Student Life Officer, where you'll be pivotal in enhancing the student experience through innovative event planning and program development. Your role involves creating a vibrant community atmosphere by designing and implementing engaging events, activities, and trips.
Collaborate with teaching, engagement, and support departments to ensure student-centered programs enrich the overall learning environment. Facilitate the expansion of student voice and partnership initiatives, empowering learners to actively contribute to the Institute's evolution. Work closely with the Student Communications team to promote student activities through creative design and strategic communication.

ABOUT YOU
  • TAFE and Higher Ed sector expertise, understanding of the Student Lifecycle, post-secondary challenges, and relevant legislation.
  • Showcase proven project and event management experience, effective engagement in the Student Lifecycle, diverse audiences, and capturing feedback.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, providing high-level customer service and accurate responses to inquiries.
  • Demonstrate project management proficiency, time management, organisational skills, adaptability, initiative, and conflict resolution with well-developed people management skills.
  • Display resilience and empathy, coupled with sound operational skills for the Student Lifecycle, effective engagement, administrative proficiency, and competence in MS Office and database systems.
  • Hold a degree in student support or relevant fields, or possess lesser qualifications with substantial work experience, and possess a full driver's license.
