Job description
- Crafting technical documentation for C&E BoP tenders.
- Ensuring coherence and translating technical standards into project-specific requirements, coordinating input from internal stakeholders.
- Evaluating offers, identifying and assessing deviations from requirements in collaboration with key internal stakeholders.
- Leading technical negotiations for projects, resulting in negotiated and signed contracts.
- Developing and implementing technical standards and requirements in partnership with Engineering.
- Extracting lessons learned from contracting processes and stakeholder interactions, supporting initiatives for LCoE reduction.
- Assisting in the technical due diligence of C&E-BoP Contracts for projects such as mergers and acquisitions, providing detailed assessments of technical solutions, associated risks, and making recommendations for technical and commercial decisions.
- Identifying market opportunities for BoP design and execution contractors, leading benchmarking, prequalification, and contractor selection.
- Collaborating with Engineering to enhance specifications and harmonize designed solutions based on local requirements.
- Working closely with colleagues in Procurement, Development, and Construction departments
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (preferred) in an engineering discipline, specifically in Civil or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in contracting technical products and/or project management.
- Ability to assess technical requirements against economic benefits throughout all project phases, demonstrating solid commercial knowledge and understanding of the intersections between commercial and technical aspects.
- Proficient technical understanding of Civil-BoP and Electrical-BoP.
- Basic knowledge of engineering regulations and standards in Australia.
- Strong negotiation, influencing, and interpersonal skills, with the capability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders on commercial, operational, and technical matters.
- Planning and organizational skills, including effective prioritization capabilities.
- Team-oriented with interdisciplinary interests, adept at developing effective working relationships across regions, and able to collaborate in international teams, across functions, and countries.
