Student Life Officer, Community Engagement

Classification: ANU Officer Grade 6/7 (Administration)
Salary package: $86,960 - $100,098 per annum plus 17% superannuation
Terms: Full time, Continuing (Contingent Funded)
The Student Life Officer, Community Engagement (CE) is a member of the Student Life team within the University Experience portfolio under the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic. The Student Life Officer, CE works as part of a dedicated student-facing team responsible for the high-quality delivery and implementation of student and Community Engagement programs and initiatives that aim to address community challenges, promote social connectedness and belonging amongst ANU students.
Under the general direction of the Deputy Manager, Community Engagement, this position works closely with team members on programs, workshops and events designed to enhance the student experience through Community Engagement and co-curricular activities; contributes to the evaluation of programs; promotes team activities; engages with stakeholders; and, as needed, supervises students.
A key focus of the position(s) in 2024, will be facilitating experiential and educational workshops and events to empower students to create connections, find belonging during their student experience at ANU and actively participate in programs that focus on Community Engagement, sustainability, and active citizenship.
There are two positions available, each position has a specific project area - * Deliver Food Relief services to students experiencing food insecurity, implement a food rescue system to redistribute food items and reduce food waste on campus and create connections between relevant support services and students through hosting events and workshops.

• Deliver a Kitchen Garden program to empower students to build social connections and community through participating in facilitated experiential and educational workshops about biodiversity, regenerative agriculture, circular economy, sustainability, growing and harvesting seasonal produce.
