About the opportunity
The UQ College (UQC) Student Recruitment and Engagement Recruitment Officer’s key role is to contribute to the recruitment of prospective domestic students into pathway programs from within Queensland as well as provide administrative support for the Regional Managers in the coordination of international education opportunities for UQC. The position will collaborate with UQ Future Students teams and support their activities for the marketing of pathway programs and the recruitment of students.

In addition to pathway programs, UQC is rebuilding its long-standing partnerships with clients, partners, and institutions to strategically grow standalone English language enrolments, and Customised Programs and Study Tours.

About the team
The Student Recruitment and Engagement Officer will join our Business Development team and report directly to the Senior Manager Business Development. In addition, to the Officer role, the team has two Regional Managers and a Marketing and Communications Coordinator. The team are responsible for implementing UQC’s ambitious Strategy and Operational Plans.
About you
To be considered for this opportunity, you will have:
- Experience in marketing and Student Recruitment.
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as Marketing or Business and or substantial relevant skills and work experience.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills including the ability to present in front of large audiences.
- Strong cross-cultural understanding and ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of audiences from different cultural backgrounds and respond positively when resolving issues.
- Demonstrated administrative and organisational skills, including the ability to set priorities, manage time and plan work to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Ability to work some weekends and additional hours from time to time.
- Queensland Government Blue Card (Working with Children check)
- Current Driver’s Licence
