  • 1 x Part-time (0.5 FTE), Fixed-term role to 31 December 2024
  • These temporary roles can be offered as a fixed-term appointment (external applicants) or as a secondment opportunity (current UNE staff).
  • $73,242 to $84,458 per annum (HEO5) part-time pro-rata
  • Plus 17%employer superannuation
  • Salary packaging options are available
  • 5 weeks annual leave plus Christmas week shutdown, per annum.
  • Applicants must have appropriate Australian work rights for the duration of this position (UNE will not provide sponsorship for this position)

About the role

The position reports to the Student Connect Advisor and is responsible for providing timely support to students identified as 'At Risk' in accordance with the Student Support Policy. The position will provide specialist advice regarding policy, rules and guidelines to students, staff and relevant stakeholders to increase the likelihood of Student Success.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Relevant qualification and combination of experience in student support in a tertiary education setting.
  • Demonstrated excellent Administrative and time management skills with aptitude and capacity to learn software packages, data bases and systems relevant to student support.
  • Demonstrated ability to relate well to colleagues and students from diverse and often disadvantaged backgrounds

Student Services sits within the Student Experience portfolio which includes the Library, Counselling and Psychological Services and Student Grievance. The goals of Student Experience Portfolio include Successful student Completion, Student Engagement and retention and providing transformative personalised student journeys.
