About the Role We are seeking an experienced Major Shutdown, Planning and Coordination Superintendent to join the Whitehaven Coal family. The Major Shutdown, Planning and Coordination Superintendent will be responsible for the for the development of the Group Major Shutdown Schedule and the subsequent creation of scopes, budgets and executable plans.
This role can be based out of Brisbane, Newcastle or Gunnedah, with some travel required.
What You'll Do
Accountable for the coordination of the Major Shutdown work program for Field and Mobile equipment
Development of multi-year Shutdown program schedule and budget forecast (Capital and Operating)
Ensure timely development and submission of Capital Expenditure Proposals (CEP)
Creation of Shutdown Management Plans and quality shutdown work packs
Oversee the provision of external services, all materials, tools and equipment required for shutdown scope
What You'll Bring
Tertiary qualifications in engineering and management or an appropriate discipline and / or relevant industry experience
Demonstrable skills and experience planning and managing large shutdowns and outages
Skills defining asset strategy and reliability improvement programs/initiatives
An open Australian driving licence is required.
Proven management experience, at a senior level, preferably gained in a heavy industry or similar environment.
